Redesigning the live seller experience & AI prototyping workflows
I redesigned the in-stream seller desktop host console for eBay Live and developed an AI-assisted prototyping workflow to accelerate user testing.

Overview
Rethinking the eBay Live seller experience
My internship project focused on reimagining the in-stream seller experience for eBay Live. Through research, product strategy, and interaction design, I identified opportunities and designed concepts to better support sellers during live commerce. The designs are concepts for the teamโs consideration.
As I developed design concepts, I also began experimenting with AI-assisted prototyping to bring my ideas to life. This experimentation evolved into a structured, reusable workflow that I documented and shared with other designers.
My Contributions
My work spanned product strategy, research, design, and workflow innovationโfrom exploring opportunities to improve the seller experience to developing an AI prototyping methodology adopted by other designers.
Challenge
Designing for the complexity of live selling
Selling on eBay Live involves managing multiple activities simultaneously, from organizing product listings and running auctions to monitoring a live stream and engaging with viewers.
The host console brings these activities together in a single interface. My internship project developed design concepts to rethink this experience and better support sellers as they navigate the demands of live commerce.
However, the detailed research findings, strategic recommendations, and design concepts remain confidential.

Exploration
Exploring a new approach to prototyping
As I developed design concepts for the eBay Live seller experience, I began experimenting with ChatGPT and v0 to bring my ideas to life through interactive prototypes.
However, I quickly realized that generating high quality prototypes was only part of the challenge. I needed to communicate design intent clearly, maintain visual consistency, and refine interactions without losing important details.
Through experimentation and iteration, I began developing a more structured approach to AI-assisted prototyping that kept design judgment at the center of the process.
Tools that supported my process
The challenges I encountered
Design Fidelity
How could I recreate existing interfaces while preserving visual details and interaction patterns?
Prompt Clarity
How could I communicate design intent clearly enough for AI to generate the intended experience?
Iterative Refinement
How could I improve specific interactions without unintentionally changing the rest of the prototype?
Confidential Work
What I can share
While this case study provides a high-level overview of my contributions, the detailed research findings, proposed designs, and specific prototyping methodology remain confidential.
Happy to walk through my work in conversation!
